Family correspondence, June 23, 1824-Nov. 20, 1888, undated, to Morrill from his family, mainly his brother Henry, and friends in New England concerning family news, business, and an invitation to a Young Mens' State Temperance Convention in 1834. Typed transcripts are included. Some of the letters described strikes of factory girls and the economic situation in Lowell (Mass.). Genealogical information (3 p., typed) is also included.

Charles Morrill was the son of Joseph and Mary Cochran of Manchester (N.H.). He had a brother Henry in Lowell (Mass.), and sisters, Mrs. Amy Ayer, and Hannah. He married and had children. Charles ran a factory in Lowell in 1834. He moved to Paw Paw (Mich.) (1836), Antwerp (Mich.) (1845), and Clinch (Mich.) (1851). (Information from the collection.)
